John Deere electric tractors will transform the agricultural world.
John Deere is one of the world’s leading agricultural equipment manufactures and we all associate the iconic brand with their green and yellow tractors.
Well now John Deere is going electric. How wonderful to see this leading brand moving off dirty diesel power trains and onto low maintenance, efficient, zero emissions, powerful electric drive systems.
The new prototype will go on show at the SIMA show in France in January 2017 and we believe this is another Tesla moment for the world and the move to zero emissions drive.
Under the hood of the powerful John Deere tractor is a 130kWh battery pack to supply power for twin 150kW electric motors with the capability of up to 300kW or (407hp).

John Deere has now established a dedicated team to advancing the development of electric machinery across the John Deere product range. This is a clear indication that John Deere is positioning itself for the future as a leader in the move off fossil fuel powered drivelines for agriculture.
Car manufacturers are going electric, last week we saw how the heavy road transport industry is going electric with the Nikola One zero emissions prime mover, and now John Deere joins the transition for land transport and machinery to go electric.
