News Corporation – saving the environment with Plug-In Vehicles

As Australia’s leading media institution, News Corp prides itself not only on the quality of is media businesses, but also as a leader in sustainable business practices.

The sustainability team at News Corp is lead by Dr.Tony Wilkins. They have a specialist group running environmentally focused programs known as 1 Degree. The 1 Degree program aims to drive sustainable business practices at News Corp and enlighten everyone to how we can all do something positive to improve our environment.

  • Every positive action can make 1 Degree of difference for the environment.

Like me, the team in the 1 Degree unit love plug-in vehicles. Mitsubishi has partnered with New Corp to provide Outlander PHEV’s for staff to test drive and News Corp has transitioned some of their old ICE power fleet to electric vehicles like the Outlander PHEV.

  • Getting the Electric Vehicle message to everyone.

The 1 Degree invited eCarInsight with other advocates of an electric vehicle future to participate in the production of an important info video clip on the worlds move to electric vehicles. While it was a lot of fun to work with the 1 degree team the aim was clear for all of us.

  • Electric Vehicles are the future and the future is here now.
