Rally cars go electric

Formula E has set the stage for motor sport’s future becoming electric. This year we will also see the commencement of the exciting all electric supercar series Electric GT Championship which will initially race with Tesla Model S 100D sedans on iconic racing tracks in Europe and the USA.

Now my favourite motor sport, rallying, is also going electric with the development of the electric rallycross championship called E/RACING. Initially the series will have cars provided by Stohl Advanced Research and Development (STARD) which is based in Austria. Rallycross e/racing will be an exciting series and a perfect showcase for the advancement of zero emissions high action motor sport.

  • Motor sport develops the technology that ends up in the cars we drive daily.

The future of motor sport is electric. E/Racing Rallycross starts with five North American cities that include New York and Los Angeles and kicks off in Las Vegas on 31st October and 1st November 2017. Can’t wait!
